Tax preparation for individuals and families in Corona, CA and throughout Riverside County. Grace S. Clark, CPA has been handling personal income tax preparation since 2009, and every return we file gets close personal attention rather than a rushed pass through software.

Accurate and compliant tax filing to maximize savings. Grace and team help individuals
file their tax returns accurately, maximize deductions, and ensure compliance with
federal and state tax laws. This includes gathering taxpayer information, filing the
appropriate tax forms, tax planning/strategy, and audit support.

Expert support in audits, disputes, and negotiations with the IRS and other tax
agencies. We provide this service to ensure compliance, resolve tax issues, and protect
clients' rights.

Good tax preparation starts before the forms do. We begin by reviewing your prior-year return, your current-year documents, and any changes in your circumstances: a new job, a home purchase or sale, a marriage or divorce, a new child, a retirement distribution, or income from a side business. Those changes are where deductions get missed. Once we have a complete picture, we prepare the federal and California returns, walk you through the result before anything is filed, and then file electronically.
Our personal tax preparation clients include employees with straightforward W-2 returns, self-employed professionals and sole proprietors, landlords with rental property, retirees managing Social Security and retirement distributions, licensed professionals, and families with multi-state filing obligations. If your return touches a trust or an estate, our trust and fiduciary accounting work covers that side as well.
Filing a return records decisions you already made. Planning changes the outcome. We meet with clients during the year to review estimated payments, retirement contributions, payroll withholding, the timing of income and deductions, and the tax effect of a major purchase or sale. Business owners can pair personal tax preparation with our business accounting and corporate taxes services so both returns are built from one consistent set of numbers.
An agency letter is not automatically bad news, but it does carry a deadline. As a Certified Public Accountant, Grace can represent you before the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board, responding to notices, substantiating deductions, and negotiating payment arrangements when a balance is owed. Clients whose returns were prepared elsewhere are welcome to bring a notice in for review.
Once your documents are in, tax preparation on our end is mostly quiet. You will hear from us twice: once if something is missing or does not reconcile, and once when the return is ready to review. We do not send drafts back and forth for sport.
When the return is ready we send it for your review with a summary of the result, the amounts due or refundable, and any due dates you need to diary. Read the summary before you sign. If a number surprises you, ask — it is far easier to explain now than to amend later.
Signatures are electronic unless you would rather come in. After you sign, we e-file and send you the acknowledgement from the IRS and the Franchise Tax Board. Keep it; it is your proof of timely filing.
If you owe, we will tell you the payment options rather than leaving you to work them out, including whether an installment arrangement makes sense and what it costs. If you are due a refund, we will tell you where to track it.
Tax preparation is the visible part of the year, but it is not the whole relationship. Clients who call in the summer about a house, a business, or a retirement account generally have an easier spring. Call 951.399.2675 whenever something changes.
Bring last year’s return, your current W-2s and 1099s, records of deductible expenses, closing statements for any property bought or sold, and any correspondence from a tax agency.
